Thank you for visiting my website. I am a professional WILDlife photographer, born in Cape Town, South Africa and currently living in Auckland, New Zealand.
I bought my first Nikon film camera in 2007 and that is when it all started for me. After completing my photography course and later an interior and framing course I felt confident enough to tackle Africa and all she had to offer.
Many things fell into place, my love for nature, interiors, environment and photography collided with my love for creativity and travel.
I was drawn to WILDlife and was fortunate to have most of the world renound game reserves within my reach, and reach I did. Living in Cape Town, South Africa it was possible for me to travel extensively across Southern Africa and there are very few places that I have not trod. If there is an old dusty town off the beaten track, hiding secret like gems, I’ve seen it, been through it and most likely stayed a night or three.
I have slept in tents in the bush while the hippo’s graze peacefully close by. I have had a hyena investigate my shower while I was showering, I have tracked Cheetah, and Rhino’s on foot and fallen asleep to the roaring of lions in the distance. I feel complete freedom and relish the experiences, the journey and the destination. This passion and commitment to nature and travel is something that is reflected in my photography.
My photography is inspired by more than just the diverse landscapes and nature of Africa; it is driven by her people which gives me a love for this continent and there are still so many places to explore and capture.
My photography has taken me to Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Swaziland, Kenya, Zambia and Zimbabwe and I am always in pursuit of something different and try to capture a moment and not just a photograph.
I am truly inspired and feel most at home in the African bush and I will never shake her dust from my soul. My wish is to share this beauty with you.
